JobMate helps you run a smarter job search: scoring roles against your resume, tailoring your application materials, and helping you reach the right people. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what the product needs to work.
Information we collect
Account information: your name and email address when you sign up (including via Google Sign-In).
Career information you provide: your resume, accomplishments, target roles, locations, and preferences. We use this to score jobs and generate your application materials.
Job-search activity: the roles you track, outreach you draft or send through JobMate, and your progress, so we can keep your pipeline and recommendations accurate.
Usage data: basic, privacy-preserving analytics about how the product is used, so we can improve it.
How we use your information
To provide the core product: score roles against your resume, tailor your resume and outreach, find relevant contacts, and track your applications.
To send you product and accountability communications you have opted into (for example, new-match alerts and follow-up nudges). You can turn these off.
To operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
Google user data and Limited Use
If you connect your Google account, JobMate requests the gmail.send scope solely to send job-search emails (such as outreach to a hiring contact) from your own Gmail account, and only when you explicitly choose to send them. JobMate does not read, modify, delete, or store the contents of your mailbox.
If you connect Google Calendar, JobMate requests read-only calendar scopes only to help you see and schedule interview-related events. We do not modify your calendar.
JobMate's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not transfer or sell it to third parties except as needed to provide or improve the user-facing feature, comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
You can disconnect Google access at any time from your Profile, or revoke it from your Google Account security settings.
Service providers we use
We use trusted processors to run JobMate: Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Anthropic (AI generation of scores, resumes, and outreach), Apify and Hunter (finding and verifying professional contact details for outreach), Resend (transactional email), and Netlify (website hosting). These providers process data only to perform services for JobMate.
Data retention and security
We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your information, and disconnect any integration, from your Profile or by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, which we honor.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email.
