Privacy Policy

Account information: your name and email address when you sign up (including via Google Sign-In).

Career information you provide: your resume, accomplishments, target roles, locations, and preferences. We use this to score jobs and generate your application materials.

Job-search activity: the roles you track, outreach you draft or send through JobMate, and your progress, so we can keep your pipeline and recommendations accurate.

Usage data: basic, privacy-preserving analytics about how the product is used, so we can improve it.

To provide the core product: score roles against your resume, tailor your resume and outreach, find relevant contacts, and track your applications.

To send you product and accountability communications you have opted into (for example, new-match alerts and follow-up nudges). You can turn these off.

To operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.

If you sign in with Google, JobMate receives your basic profile (your name and email address) to create and secure your account. That is the only data we receive from Google.

JobMate does not request any Gmail or other Google API scope, and never accesses, reads, modifies, or stores your mailbox. When you draft an outreach email, JobMate opens a pre-filled Gmail compose window in your browser; you review, edit, and send it yourself. Nothing is ever sent on your behalf.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not transfer or sell it to third parties except as needed to provide the service, comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.

We use trusted processors to run JobMate: Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Anthropic (AI generation of scores, resumes, and outreach), Apify and Hunter (finding and verifying professional contact details for outreach), Resend (transactional email), and Netlify (website hosting). These providers process data only to perform services for JobMate.

We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information, and disconnect any integration, from your Profile or by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, which we honor.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email.
